Master Mei Ling Communicates thru Mang Mike

While meditating during one of those experiments, Master Mei Ling appeared because he wanted to communicate with Master Choa. I told him that his teacher, the Lord Mei Ling, wanted to tell him something. Master Mei Ling overshadowed me and told me to tell Master Choa to write books. He was to first write the book on the teachings of pranic healing. We were being watched and our experiments were being observed by Master Mei Ling. If we had any questions regarding pranic healing, we were just to tune in and contact him. So the experiments with Master Mei Ling’s inputs started in 1983. In 1986, Master Choa started writing. He finished and published the book in 1987. He compiled all his data and put them in the form of a book.

Triangles by Mang Mike Nator

Network of Light and Goodwill

The function of Triangles is the building and maintenance of a planetary Network of Light and Goodwill, by units of three people who believe in and utilize the power of thought and the energy of goodwill. The work in Triangles, while of deep esoteric significance, is fundamentally simple. Visualization, clear directed thought, and the use of the Great Invocation are its essential features.

To form a Triangle it is necessary to find two others willing to join in a daily act of service. Each day the three members recall the existence of their triangle, visualize lines of light linking them with one another, relate the triangle unit to the worldwide network of triangles, invoke spiritual energies through the use of the Great Invocation, and channel them out to humanity through the Network of Light and Goodwill.

The members of Triangles themselves find others willing to form other triangles. Distance and timing are of no account, and the number of triangles in which the individual can work effectively is a matter of personal choice. As the number of triangles grow, so the the worldwide Network of Light and Goodwill is strengthened and becomes more closely knit, forming an invocative field of energy relating humanity and the spiritual Hierarchy.

The rebuilding of the planetary etheric body is one of the esoteric purpose of triangles, as the energy patterns of the soul and the Triad is built into the subtle vehicles of humanity. Triangles is an outer reflection of a transmitted and repeated energy pattern and circulation of cosmic origin. For humanity and for the purpose to be implemented on earth, the essential underlying significance of Triangles has been summed up perfectly in these few words: “Triangles work helps to create the right spiritual atmosphere in which the members of the new group of world servers can work effectively.”

In the Triangles activity, SUFI members have an opportunity to unite esoteric and exoteric workers in one spiritual undertaking, enabling the men and women of good intention – working under the inspiration of goodwill – to be successful in their combined efforts to bring about right human relations on earth.

To SUFI members the Triangles Work is one of its service activities.

Easter and the UNICORN

In esoteric astrology, the zodiac sign of Aries opens new cycles which give birth to a new expression of Spirit. It was thence on the Easter full moon of Aries that the Christ bestowed His greatest gift upon humanity – the concept of resurrection.

Resurrection means to go back to the original state of being. It is the withdrawal of Spirit from matter through the process of adaption and victory over matter. In esoteric teaching, resurrection is the process of conquering death and achieving continuity of consciousness. The Christ was one of the first to achieve such victory over matter. Through his victory, he built a path of return for us, “from darkness to light, from unreal to the real, from death to immortality.”

In Christian religion there are two sets of esoteric symbols for resurrection. The tomb and the risen Christ was the first. The egg and the chicken was the second. The tomb is matter from which Spirit mush rise. The egg is the personality from which the soul must rise. The Cosmic Physical Plane is an egg from which the Spirit of humanity must resurrect Itself.

The winged unicorn is another symbol of resurrection. Medieval Christian mystics represent and signify the animal mortal nature. Its whiteness represents purity and signifies the divine immortal nature. The taming of the unicorn by the touch of a virgin signifies the taming of the animal nature in man by the awakening influence of his higher self, or immortal soul, symbolized by the virgin. The long horn symbolizes the achievement of right fusion of the integration of man’s lower and higher self. A pair of wings signify the unicorn’s liberation from its earthly bondage.

Until man awakens to the touch of his won soul who virtually tames and controls him to return to the original state of his being, he remains trapped in a mortal tomb. Easter is one such period of great effort to resurrect ourselves from the tomb of our personal limitations and hindrances in order to shine out as Souls. Because of this, the winged unicorn is an appropriate symbol of the Easter, the self-transforming man, and the spiritual regeneration movement founded by Mang Mike.

In this context, S.U.F.I. therefore deems it fitting to launch the U.N.I.C.O.R.N. movement during the Easter Full Moon. The Union for National Involvement Concerning Operations to Regenerate the Nations seeks to raise and transform the spiritual consciousness of our country and the world through a seven-step unfoldment process. We urge all men and women of goodwill to heed the call to bring the Light to the darkness.

The Evening Review

Evening Review

It is hoped that each students will endeavor each night, before retiring, to review the incidents, events, thoughts, words and acts of the day. This should always be done backwards, beginning with the events of immediate happening, and working from thence backwards to the hour of rising. This should not take longer than ten or fifteen minutes. You not expected to dwell on incidents but to observe cause and effects and attitude of mind.

There are four main reasons why the evening review is made a regular part of our work…

  1. Self-examination is illuminating for the student. A primary injunction which is given to all occults is “KNOW THYSELF”. A strict investigation into the doings of the day is a help towards this knowledge.
  2. The occultist is one who works consciously with the law of CAUSE AND EFFECT, both in connection with himself and with the plans of evolution. A master wields the law in the three worlds. We, as occult students, must begin with ourselves and by the study of the effect (as far as we can ascertain them) of your acts, words and deeds eventually arrive at a knowledge of causes. This will become more apparent as the student practices his review, and traces the various effects in his life back to the originating cause. Facility in doing this will grow.
  3. Another valuable link of investigation for the student is the ascertaining of the motives which impelled him to a particular act of word. Through this review, when correctly followed, he will arrive at the subjective impulse which produced the act or word. In this way he begins the work with that which is subjective and to understand that which lies behind all phenomena or form. He will arrive at an understanding of himself and a wider tolerance of his brother.
  4. When the consciousness of the ego or soul is fully developed, only the eternal now is found to exist; the past the present and the future are seen as one. As the synthetic grasp of the day’s happening is achieved, the tendency is to think in larger terms is gradually developed.

Please watch carefully so as to avoid morbid self analysis and selfish introspection. This is unwholesome. Do your review and then put it away out of your thoughts. If mistakes have been made, rectify them but do not be occupied with brooding over them. Tim is valuable land should be used for creating the future instead of lamenting the past.

If you find it impossible to do this review in the evening, you may do it at any convenient time during the day so as to cover the past twenty-four hours, only make it a regular practice.

The Great Invocation: Its Use and Significance

The Great Invocation

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ* return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

The beauty and the strength of this Invocation lie in its simplicity, and in its expression of certain central truths – the truth of the existence of a basic Intelligence to Whom we vaguely give the name of God; the truth that behind all outer seeming, the motivating power of the universe is Love; the truth that a great Individuality, called by Christians the Christ, came to earth and embodied that love so that we could understand; the truth that both love and intelligence are effects of what is called the Will of God; and finally the self-evident truth that only through humanity itself can the divine Plan work out.

This entire Invocation refers to that impending, overshadowing and revelatory storehouse of energy, the immediate cause of all events on earth which indicate the emergence of that which is new and better; these events demonstrate the moving onward of the human consciousness into greater light.

The usual invocative appeal has previously been selfish in nature and temporary in its formulation. People have prayed for themselves; they have invoked divine help for those they love; they have given a material interpretation to their basic needs. This Invocation is a world prayer; it has no personal appeal or temporal invocative urge; it expresses humanity’s need and pierces through all the difficulties, doubts and questionings straight to the Mind and the Heart of the One in Whom we live and move and have our being – the One Who will stay with us “until the last weary pilgrim has found his way home”.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

In the first stanza, we have reference to the Mind of God as a focal point for divine light. This refers to the soul of all things. The term soul with its major attribute of enlightenment includes the human soul and that consummating point of light which we regard as the “overshadowing” soul of humanity. That soul brings light and spreads enlightenment. It is necessary always to remember that light is active energy.

When we invoke the Mind of God and say: “Let light stream forth into the minds of men, let Light descend on Earth”, we are voicing one of the great needs of humanity and – if invocation and prayer mean anything at all – the answer is certain and sure. The fact that people in every age and every situation have felt the urge to appeal for help to the unseen Spiritual Centre, is a sure sign that such a centre exists. Invocation is as old as humanity itself.

We are told by the Christ that human beings “love darkness rather than light because their deeds are evil”. Nevertheless, one of the great emerging beauties of the present time is that light is being thrown into every dark place, and there is nothing hidden which shall not be revealed. People recognise the present darkness and misery and consequently welcome light. The illumination of human minds so that they can see things as they are, can apprehend right motives and the way to bring about right human relations, is now a major need. In the light which enlightenment brings, we shall eventually see light, and the day will come when thousands of human beings and countless groups will be able to say with Hermes and with Christ: “I am (or we are) the light of the world.”

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

In the second stanza, the Heart of God is involved and the focal point of love considered. This “heart” of the manifested world is the spiritual Hierarchy – that great transmitting agency of love to every form in the divine manifestation.

Love is an energy which must reach the hearts of men and women, and which must permeate humanity with the quality of loving-understanding; that is what is expressed when love and intelligence are brought together.

When disciples are working under the recognition of the Christ, there will then come the time when He can again move among human beings in a public manner; He can be publicly recognised and thus do His work on the outer levels of living as well as upon the inner. Christ said when bidding farewell to His disciples:
“Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the age.”

When Christ comes, there will be a flowering in great activity of His type of consciousness; He will let loose into the human kingdom the potency and the distinctive energy of intuitive love. The results of the distribution of this energy of love will be two-fold:

First, the active energy of loving-understanding will mobilise a tremendous reaction against the potency of hate. To hate, to be separate, and to be exclusive will come to be regarded as the only sin, for it will be recognised that all the sins as listed, and now regarded as wrong, only stem from hate or from its product, the anti-social consciousness. Second, countless men and women in every land will form themselves into groups for the promotion of goodwill and for the production of right human relations. So great will be their numbers that from being a small and relatively unimportant minority, they will be the largest and most influential force in the world.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

In the third stanza, we find a prayer that the human will can be brought into conformity with the divine will, even though that may not be understood. There is indication in these three lines  that humanity itself cannot as yet grasp the purpose of God, that aspect of the divine will which seeks immediate expression on earth. But surely, as the purpose of the Will of God seeks to influence human will, it is expressed in human terms as goodwill, as living determination or as a fixed intention to bring about right human relations. The divine will, as it is essentially, remains the great mystery. Even Christ Himself struggled with the problem of the divine will, and addressed Himself to the Father at the moment when He first realised the extent and the complexity of His mission as world saviour. He then cried aloud: “Father, not my will but Thine be done.” Those words marked the relinquishing of the means through which He had been attempting to salvage humanity; it indicated to Him what might at that time have appeared to be an apparent failure and that His mission was not accomplished. For nearly two thousand years, He has waited to bring that mission into fruition. He cannot proceed with His assigned mission without reciprocal action by humanity.

This Invocation is peculiarly and essentially Christ’s Own Mantram and its “sound has gone forth” to the entire world through the medium of His enunciation of it and through its use by the spiritual Hierarchy. Now its words must go out throughout the entire world by means of its enunciation by people everywhere and its meaning must be expressed by humanity in due time. Then Christ can again “return to earth” and “see of the travail of His soul and be satisfied”.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

In the fourth stanza, having invoked the three aspects or potencies of Mind, Love and Will, we have indication of the anchoring of all these powers in humanity itself, in “the centre which we call the race of men”. Here, and here alone, can all the three divine qualities – in time and space – express themselves and find fulfillment; here and here alone can love be truly born, intelligence correctly function, and the Will of God demonstrate its effective will-to-good. By humanity, alone and unaided (except by the divine spirit in every human being), can the “door where evil dwells” be sealed.

The final line of the fourth stanza is perhaps in need of explanation. This is a symbolic way of expressing the idea of rendering evil purposes both inactive and ineffectual. There is no particular location where evil dwells; in the Book of Revelations, the New Testament speaks of evil and of the destruction of the devil and of the rendering of Satan impotent.

The “door where evil dwells” is kept open by humanity through its selfish desires, its hatreds and its separateness, by its greed and its racial and national barriers, its low personal ambitions and its love of power and cruelty. As goodwill and light stream forth into minds and hearts, these evil qualities and these directed energies which keep the door of evil open will give place to a longing for right human relations, to a determination to create a better and more peaceful world and to a world-wide expression of the will-to-good. As these qualities supersede the old and undesirable ones, the door where evil dwells will symbolically slowly close through the sheer weight of public opinion and through right human desire. Nothing can possibly stop it.

Thus the original Plan will be restored on earth. Simultaneously, the door into the world of spiritual reality will open before humanity and the door where evil dwells will be closed. Thus through the “centre which we call the race of men”, the Plan of Love and Light works out and strikes the death blow of evil, selfishness and separateness, sealing it into the tomb of death forever; thus also the purpose of the Creator of all things will be fulfilled.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

It is apparent that the first three stanzas or verses invoke, call for, or appeal to, the three aspects of divine life which are universally recognised – the mind of God, the love of God and the will or purpose of God; the fourth stanza points out the relation of humanity to these three energies of intelligence, love and will, and humankind’s deep responsibility to implement the spread of love and light on earth in order to restore the Plan. This Plan calls humanity to the expression of Love and challenges men and women to “let their light shine”. Then comes the final solemn demand that this “Plan of Love and Light”, working through the human kingdom, may “seal the door where evil dwells”.

The final line then contains the idea of restoration, indicating the keynote for the future, and that the day will come when God’s original idea and His initial intention will no longer be frustrated by human freewill and evil, pure materialism and selfishness; the divine purpose will then, through the changed hearts and goals of humanity, be achieved.

DEEPER MEANING OF THE GREAT INVOCATION

The Great Invocation if given widespread distribution, can be to the new world religion what the Lord’s Prayer has been to Christianity and the 23rd Psalm has been to the spiritually minded Jew. There are three approaches to this great Prayer or Invocation:

  1. That of the general public.
  2. That of the esotericists, or of the aspirants and the disciples of the world.
  3. That of the Members of the Hierarchy.

First, the general public will regard it as a prayer to God Transcendent. They will not recognise Him yet as immanent in His creation; they will send it forth on the wings of hope – hope for light and love and peace, for which they ceaselessly long. They will also regard it as a prayer for the enlightenment of all rulers and leaders in all groups who are handling world matters; as a prayer for the inflow of love and understanding among people, so that they may live in peace with one another; as a demand for the working out of the will of God – a will of which they can know nothing and which ever seems to them so inscrutable and so all-inclusive that their normal reaction is patience and a willingness to refrain from questioning; as a prayer for the strengthening of human responsibility in order that the recognised evils of today – which so distress and trouble humanity – may be done away with. They will regard it finally as a prayer that some vague primeval condition of blissful happiness may be restored and all unhappiness and pain disappear from the earth. This is, for them, entirely good and helpful and all that is immediately possible.

Secondly, esotericists, aspirants and spiritually-minded people will have a deeper and more understanding approach. To them it will convey the recognition of the world of causes and of Those Who stand subjectively behind world affairs, the spiritual Directors of our life. They stand ready to strengthen those with true vision, ready to indicate not only the reason for events in the various departments of human living, but also to make those revelations which will enable humanity to move forward out of darkness into light. With this fundamental attitude, the necessity for a widespread expression of these underlying facts will be apparent and an era of spiritual education, engineered by disciples and carried forward by esotericists, will mature. This era began in 1875 when the fact  of the existence of the Masters of the Wisdom was proclaimed. It has been carried forward in spite of misrepresentation, attack upon the concept, and scorn. Recognition of the substantial nature of the available evidence and the appearance of an intuitive response by occult students and many of the intelligentsia throughout the world has been helpful.

A new type of mystic is coming to be recognised; they differ from the mystics of the past by their practical interest in current world affairs and not in religious and church matters only; they are distinguished by their lack of interest in their own personal development, by their ability to see God immanent in all faiths and not just in their own particular brand of religious belief, and also by their capacity to live their lives in the light of the divine Presence. All mystics have been able to do this to a greater or lesser degree, but the modern mystic differs from those in the past in that he [or she] is able clearly to indicate to others the techniques of the Path; they combine both head and heart, intelligence and feeling, plus an intuitive perception, previously lacking. The clear light of the spiritual Hierarchy now illumines the way of modern mystics, and not simply the light of their own souls; this will be increasingly the case.

Thirdly, both of these groups – the general public and the world aspirants in their varying degrees – have among them those who stand out from the general average as possessing a deeper insight and understanding; they occupy a no-man’s-land, intermediate on the one hand between the masses and the esotericists and, on the other, between the esotericists and the Members of the Hierarchy. Forget not, They also use this great Invocation and that not a day goes by that the Christ Himself does not sound it forth.

The use of this Invocation or Prayer and the rising expectancy of the coming of the Christ hold out the greatest hope for humanity today. Great Sons of God have ever come on humanity’s demand and always will, and He for Whom all people wait today is on His way.

INVOCATION AND PRAYER

The science of invocation is in reality the intelligent organisation of spiritual energy and of the forces of love, and these, when effective, will evoke the response of spiritual Beings Who can work openly among humanity and thus establish a close relation and a constant communication between humanity and the spiritual Hierarchy. It might be said that invocation is of three kinds. There is the massed demand, unconsciously voiced, and the crying appeal, wrung from human hearts in all times of crisis such as the present. This invocative cry rises ceaselessly from all those living in the midst of disaster; it is addressed to that power outside themselves which they feel can and should come to their help in their moment of extremity. This great and wordless invocation is rising everywhere today. Then there is the invocational spirit, evidenced by sincere men and women as they participate in the rites of their religion and take advantage of the opportunity of united worship and prayer to lay their demands for help before God. This group, added to the mass of human beings, creates a great wave of invocative appeal, and at this time their massed intent is in great evidence and their invocation is rising to the Most High. Then, lastly, there are the trained disciples and aspirants of the world who use certain forms of words, certain carefully defined invocations and who – as they do this – focus the invocative cry and the invocative appeal of the other two groups, giving it right direction and power. All these three groups are, consciously and unconsciously, swinging into activity at this time and their united effort guarantees a resultant evocation.

By invocative prayer or aspiration – it matters not what word is used – spiritual energies are tapped and brought into activity, and by clear thinking, directed thought and mental perception, they can be made objects of human desire.

This Invocation is essentially a prayer, synthesising the highest desire, aspiration and spiritual demand of the very soul of humanity itself. It must be used in that way.

This Invocation is essentially a prayer, synthesising the highest desire, aspiration and spiritual demand of the very soul of humanity itself. It must be used in that way.

When the trained disciple or the aspirant in training uses it, he or she will assume the attitude of meditation – that is, an attitude of concentration, spiritual direction and receptivity. Then the disciple will pray and will assume the attitude of meditation (an inner mental attitude and firm assumption), but employ the method of prayer which is a potent means of establishing and maintaining right spiritual and human relations. When in the attitude of meditation and using the implement of prayer (by means of the Invocation), the disciple attains a relationship with the mass of humanity not otherwise possible, implementing their recognised though unvoiced need. The disciple also attains a relationship with the spiritual Hierarchy Who are evoked by mass desire.

A gigantic group meditation is going on in many different phases upon our planet. All the meditating units and the reflective groups are related to each other through unity of spiritual motive; they are seeking closer co-operation and endeavouring to bring their meditation work – consciously or unconsciously – into a state of positive universal quiet, so that the formulation of spiritual desire can be carried successfully forward, and the reception of spiritual energy can be a united reception. A great effort towards alignment is going on through individual prayer, meditation and invocation, which, as it strengthens, can serve all humanity.

Each can aid through the regulation of thought and ideas, through the cultivation of a loving spirit and the use of the Great Invocation through which these spiritual forces and energies – so sorely needed – can be invoked.

Concentrate upon the Invocation from the point of view that it embodies the divine intent and summarises the conclusions of the thinking of God. Concentrate your meditative thinking and your reflective power upon them. Look for the underlying abstract idea in this Invocation. It is there. Use its phrases as “stepping-stones” to certain levels of thought not previously attained.

ORIGIN OF THE INVOCATION

Humanity invokes divine approach in various ways: by means of
the inchoate, voiceless appeal of the masses; and also by the planned, defined invocation of the spiritually oriented aspirant, the intelligently convinced worker.

Little attention has been paid to the factor of invocation as expressed by the people of the world; yet down the ages, the invocative cry of humanity has risen to the spiritual Hierarchy and brought response. Let us illustrate: the spiritual statement by Shri Krishna, to be found in the Lord’s Song, the Bhagavad Gita, was an announcement, preparatory to the coming of the Christ. In that song He says:

“Whenever there is a withering of the Law and an uprising of lawlessness on all sides, then I manifest Myself. For the salvation of the righteous and the destruction of such as do evil, for the firm establishing of the Law, I come to birth in age after age.”

In the lawless and wicked period of the Roman Empire, the Christ came.

Another instance of a notable and most ancient invocation is to be found in the Gayatri where the people invoke the Sun in the words:

“Unveil to us the face of the true spiritual Sun, hidden by a disk of golden light, that we may know the truth and do our whole duty,
as we journey to Thy sacred feet.”

To this we should also add the Four Noble Truths, as enunciated by the Buddha and which are so well known to all of us – summarising as they do the causes and the sources of all the troubles which concern humanity. There are many translations of these truths; they all convey the same longing and appeal and meaning. During the Jewish Dispensation, there was given a statement as to human conduct in the words of the Ten Commandments; upon these, human law has been based and upon them the laws governing the relationships of people in the West have been founded. Then Christ came and gave to us the fundamental law of the universe, the law of love; He also gave us the Lord’s Prayer with its emphasis upon the Fatherhood of God, the coming of the Kingdom and right human relations.

Today, humanity stands at a peculiar and unique middle point, between an unhappy past and a future which is full of promise if the reappearance of the Christ is recognised and preparation for His coming is undertaken. The present is full of promise and also full of difficulty; in the hands of human beings today and in the immediate future, lies the destiny of the world and – if it may be reverently said – the immediate activity of the Christ. The agony of war, and the distress of the entire human family led Christ, in the year 1945, to come to a great decision – a decision which found expression in two most important statements. He announced to the assembled spiritual Hierarchy and to all His servants and disciples on earth that He had decided to emerge again into physical contact with humanity, if they would bring about the initial stages of establishing right human relations; He gave to the world (for the use of the
“man or woman in the street”) one of the oldest prayers ever known, but one which previously had not been permitted to be used except by the most exalted spiritual Beings. He used it Himself for the first time, we are told, at the time of the Full Moon of June, 1945, which is recognised as the Full Moon of the Christ, just as the Full Moon of May is that of the Buddha. It was not easy to translate these ancient phrases (so ancient that they are without date or background of any kind) into modern words, but it has been done, and the Great Invocation may eventually become the world prayer.

So reactionary is human thinking that the claim made that it is one of the greatest of the world’s prayers and on a par with the other voiced expressions of spiritual desire and intention will evoke criticism. That is of no importance. Only a few – a very few – in the early days of Christianity employed the Lord’s Prayer, because it needed recording, expression in understandable terms, and adequate translation before its widespread use became possible. That effort took centuries to accomplish. Today we have all the facilities for rapid distribution and these have all been employed on behalf of this Great Invocation.

HUMANITY’S DESTINY

These few thoughts may serve to make this Invocation live afresh in your minds and take on a new and vital livingness. It is uniquely related to all true and ancient beliefs. It holds out hope for the future and it is of present import and of practical importance. It is not vague or nebulous. It voices the basic needs of humanity today – the need for light and love, for understanding of the divine will and for the end of evil. It says triumphantly: “Let Light descend on Earth; may Christ return to Earth; let purpose guide the little wills of men; let the Plan . . . seal the door where evil dwells.” It then sums it all up in the clarion words: “Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.” Always the emphasis is laid upon the place of appearance and of manifestation: the Earth.

It voices the basic needs of humanity today – the need for light and love, for understanding of the divine will and for the end of evil.

You will already have noted – as you have studied the Invocation – a close relation between the first stanza and the final one; humanity’s destiny is to be the exponent of the mind of God, thus expressing active intelligence, motivated by love and implemented by will. That time has not yet come, but if human timing is correct and right desire is potent enough, for the first time in human history this destiny can be publicly recognised and people can be swept increasingly and voluntarily into an activity which is particularly their own destiny. That again is one of the primary objectives of the Invocation; its steady use will bring about an inclusive view of spiritual development and impart a synthesis to human thinking which has previously been lacking. As “light shines forth into the minds of men”, the divine Plan will be more widely sensed and the will-to-good will be more widely desired and invoked.

Humanity’s destiny is to be the exponent of the mind of God, thus expressing active intelligence, motivated by love and implemented by will.

This great invocative cry is a threefold cry. It is the cry for light upon the way and light to flow into the dark places of the earth; it is also a cry for more love in the world as voiced by people of goodwill and of humanitarian attitudes; it is finally, the intuitive appeal of the aspirants and the disciples in the world for the expression of the Will of God. Average instinctual humanity, the men and women of goodwill, and the disciples of the world are all concerned in this invocation, bringing in the attributes of instinct, intelligence and intuition. All are blended in the Great Invocation. Have also constantly in mind this basic fusion, now finding voiced expression, and take courage from the massed approach to the source of all life, love and light. Nothing can withstand the united demand of people everywhere in their graded and serried ranks. The momentous significance of this presentation of a cosmic, planetary and individual alignment exercise, prayer or invocation is that it provides, as a result of its correct use, a spiritual inflow right to the very heart of humanity and from the highest sources.

The uniqueness connected with the Invocation consists in the fact that it is, in reality, a great method of integration. It links the Father, the Christ and humanity in one great relationship. Christ emphasised ever the Fatherhood of God and substituted it in place of the cruel, jealous tribal Jehovah. In the 17th chapter of St. John’s Gospel (which is another of the major spiritual statements of the world), Christ emphasised the relation of the Christ consciousness to the consciousness of Deity Itself. He linked the concept of the Spirit to the fully developed soul-infused human being; and the underlying unity existing between all beings in all forms and the Father. The Great Invocation relates the will of the Father, the love of the spiritual Hierarchy and the service of Humanity into one great Triangle of Energies. This triangle will have two major results: the “sealing of the door where evil dwells”; and the working out through the power of God, let loose on earth through the Invocation, of the Plan of Love and Light.

The Great Invocation relates the will of the Father, the love of the spiritual Hierarchy and the service of Humanity into one great Triangle of Energies.

This Invocation is also unique in the sense that it invokes all the three divine aspects simultaneously.

No one can use this Invocation or prayer for illumination and for love without causing powerful changes in his or her own attitudes and life intention; character and goals will be changed and life altered and made spiritually useful. “As a man thinketh in his heart so is he” is a basic law in nature; the constant turning of the mind to the need for light and the prospect of illumination cannot and will not be ineffectual.

The spiritual Hierarchy of the planet cares only that humanity, as a whole, avails itself of spiritual opportunity. It is an opportunity which is present today in a more compelling way than ever before. The Great Invocation has been given us at this time of opportunity for our use in co-operation with Those who use it on behalf of humanity.

WORLD INVOCATION DAY

This Invocation belongs to no one individual or group. It belongs to all humanity. Tens of thousands of people of goodwill throughout the world are using it every day.

The climax to this continuous invocatory appeal is the day of the Full Moon of June. (This is the Full Moon of Gemini sometimes occurring in May. The time of the full moon is recognised throughout the world and is not affected by calendar differences). On this day a simultaneous and worldwide voicing of the Invocation sounds forth as a great outpouring invocative appeal on behalf of all humanity.

The Festival of June, which is so uniquely Christ’s and which emphasises His relationship to humanity, in reality covers three whole days, each with a different keynote:

  1. The keynote of Love in its hierarchical sense – free from sentiment, emotion and personal emphasis – a love that sacrifices and understands, that acts with strength and decision and that works on behalf of the whole and not in the interests of any group or individual.
  2. The keynote of Resurrection, emphasising the new note of livingness, of the living Christ and of that “life more abundantly” which the (second world) war made possible by forcing a return to the real values.
  3. The keynote of Contact, of a closer relation between Christ and His people, between the Hierarchy and Humanity.

The word “keynote” has been deliberately chosen and signifies the sound which preceded each major inflow at the May Festival; these energies will be released at a solemn ceremony on each of the three days. At each ceremony the Christ will say the Invocation alone, and then the united Hierarchy will intone the stanza alone, invoking light, love and the will-to-good (one on each of the three days). The result of this solemn three days of invocation will be followed
by a climaxing day wherein the Hierarchy will unitedly, and led by the Christ, pronounce the entire Invocation, prefacing each stanza with its appropriate keynote, again sounded in unison.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

THE ADAPTED VERSION OF THE GREAT INVOCATION

The rendering of “seven ancient word-forms” into modern language was the supreme achievement of Alice A. Bailey and the Tibetan, Djwhal Khul’s 30 years of work together, and for over 70 years the Great Invocation has been sounded throughout the world and translated into over 70 languages and dialects. As a result of its worldwide use over the years, the energies invoked by the Great Invocation can now be said to be deeply anchored in human consciousness.

The Great Invocation was always intended by the Tibetan, Djwhal Khul, to be given mass distribution and to become a world prayer. Now, in an increasingly pluralistic and multicultural world, the need is to continue to make the Great Invocation accessible to as many people as possible. This matter seems particularly urgent now, because in the year 2000 another direct impact of Shamballa energy – the will – occurred, and the Great Invocation is the major agent for the transformation of the human will.

Language is a living, changing means of expression, in keeping with changes in human consciousness. Therefore, after much discussion, reflection and group meditation, the members of the international Board of Trustees of the Lucis Trust and the headquarters group in the three centres have concluded that the mass distribution of the Great Invocation – which is intended to be Christ’s own mantram for the Aquarian age – must be allowed to accommodate slight modifications of language without changing its meaning. Our hope is that, if this decision will enable larger numbers of people to work with the Great Invocation in a slightly adapted form, it will continue to foster the transformation of consciousness so necessary in this period of planetary crisis.

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into human minds.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into human hearts.
May the Coming One return to Earth.

From the centre where the Will of God is known
Let purpose guide all little human wills –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the human race
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.

Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.

Fostering Harmlessness

Harmlessness

The need for positive harmlessness is obvious in the world today. At the personal level, we need to ask ourselves whether our thoughts, our feelings, our actions are causing hurt or damage to others. If so, what steps must we take to effect the needed changes? Answering these questions and initiating right action actually creates the fulcrum of change for the whole of humanity. As Alexander Solzhenitsyn once wrote: “If you want to change the world, who do you begin with, yourself or others?”

But these days it’s simply not enough to look at harmlessness from the personal angle. We are not just individuals. We all belong and contribute to the larger groups that make up society – our families, our work organizations, our communities, the particular nation and religion to which we belong, and so on. Do we need to ask the same questions of these groups? And on a larger level still, what are the motive and attitudes of humanity as a whole towards the other forms of planetary life? From a historical point of view, we have only just started to ask this question.

But the longest journey has to start somewhere, and a major step we can all take concerns the practice of harmlessness. We are at a time when the initial, joyful reaction to the ending of the cold war and the disappearance of super power confrontation has given way to a perception of all the unresolved problems of ethnic hatreds and narrow nationalisms erupting as ugly sores within the body of humanity. It is right here that an attitude of constructive harmlessness is so needed, and one of the keys to true harmlessness is the quality of forgiveness. This is not a passive state where we repress unpleasant memories of the way we have been treated in the past – what has been repressed has a habit of surfacing where we least expect it. Forgiveness is a positive intended act of consciousness that redeems the thoughtforms of aggression and revenge, and transmute and re-channels the released energies into a positive direction.

How well our Triangles work is designed to foster this! In fact the triangle is a marvelous symbol of forgiveness and harmlessness. The two base points represents the opposite poles while the apex stands for the soul, transcending the opposites and relating them in an attitude of positive harmlessness. Through the lighted network built by the daily ritual of Triangles workers throughout the world a framework for forgiveness and right relationships has already become powerfully established. It allows that the energy of soul to spark between opposing groups and to transform antagonistic selfishness into co-operative work for the good of the whole. Let us all continue in this special service to humanity and the world.

Thoughts on Harmlessness

Right thought — right speech — right action

Be ye therefor wise as serpents and harmless as doves. – Matthews 10:16

A thought of hatred does more harm than a blow, for a bruise is swiftly healed, the the power of thought is terrible, and working as it does in finer matter has more powerful results. We swim in a sea of thought, and every thought is purifying or making fouler still that sea. – Christian Humphries

My optimism on my belief in the infinite possibilities of the individual to develop non-violence. The more you develop it in your being, the more it overwhelms your surroundings and by and by oversweep the world. – M. K. Gandhi

Practice that positive harmlessness which works out in right thought (base on intelligent love), right speech (because governed by self-control), and right action (because founded on an understanding of the law). – Alice Bailey

The non-violent resister not only refuses to shoot his opponent but he also refuses to hate him. At the center of non-violence stands a principle of love. The non-violent resister would contend that, in the struggle for human dignity, the oppressed people of the world must not succumb to the temptation of becoming bitter or indulging in hate campaigns. To retaliate in kind would do noting but intensify the existence of hate in the universe. Along the way of life, someone must have sense enough and morality enough to cut off the chain of hate. This can only be done by projecting the ethic of love to the center of our being. – Martin Luther King

Harmfulness is based on selfishness and on a n egocentric attitude. It is the demonstration of forces concentrated for self-enforcement, self-aggrandizement, and self-gratification. Harmlessness is the expression of the life of the one who realizes himself to be everywhere, who lives consciously as a soul, whose nature is love, whose method is inclusiveness, and to whom all forms are alike in that they veil and hid the light, and are but externalizations of the one Infinite Being. This realization, let me remind you, will demonstrate in a true comprehension of a brother’s need, divorced from sentiment and expediency. It will lead to that silence of the tongue which grows out of non-reference to the separate self. It will produce that instantaneous response to true need which characterizes the Great Ones who (passing beneath the outer appearance) see the inner cause which produces the conditions noted in the outer life, and so, from the point of wisdom, true help and guidance can be given. Harmlessness brings about in the life caution in judgement, reticence in speech, ability to refrain from impulsive action, and the demonstration of non-critical spirit. So free passage can be given to the forces of true love, and to those spiritual energies which seem to vitalize the personality, leading consequently to right action. – Alice Bailey

The Legend and Symbol of the UNICORN

The long horn symbolizes the integration of man’s lower and higher self.

There lived a fierce, horse-like beast that roamed the earth. Its savage spirit could only be tamed by the touch of a virgin. Once touched, the beast is transformed into a noble white steed marked by a long, singular horn at the centre of its forehead. In its spiritual ascent, a pair of wings appear to free the Unicorn from its earthly bondage forever.

The Unicorn is likened to Man – part animal, part divine. Its fierceness and savagery represent and signify the animal nature. Its whiteness represents purity and signifies the divine nature. The taming of the Unicorn by the touch of the virgin signifies the taming of the animal nature in man by the awakening influence of his higher self, or soul, symbolized by the virgin. The long horn symbolizes the achievement of right fusion or the integration of man’s lower and higher self.

Until man awakens to the touch of his own soul who virtually tames and controls him to return to the centre of his being, he remains veiled. Because of this, the acronym UNICORN is a fit symbol of the program of regeneration and of the self-transforming man. The colours that surround him represent the key activities involved towards achieving transformation: Violet for Meditation; Green for Service, and Blue for Study.

The Unicorn continues to exist in every man and woman who make up S.U.F.I.

TRIANGLES MEDITATION
Summary: General instruction on Triangles Meditation.

The Work of Triangles

The service of Triangles is aiding the development of right human relations throughout the world. A knowledge and understanding of the relationship between energy and thought is of definite value in this work. The work of Triangles is directing energy by the power of thought. In Triangles we use the focused power of thought to invoke and direct into humanity the energies of light and goodwill — energies desperately needed in our world today. It is a deeply scientific work, but fundamentally simple. Invocation, prayer or aspiration, meditation — it matters not which word you use — by means of these three methods, spiritual energies are tapped and brought into activity.
The steady impact of right thought, thought qualified by the energy of goodwill, is having a definite stimulating and healing effect upon the consciousness of humanity. In addition a vast reservoir or pool of goodwill energy is being created which is drawn upon by workers for humanity all over the planet.

Any individual can join with two others who believe in the power of creative thought to form a triangle. This triangle, when linked in with the worldwide Network of Light and Goodwill, can be a practical expression of the potency of thought and a contribution to the effort to develop right relations among all humanity.

How to Create a Triangle

Find two other people to link with you each day in thought, for a few moments of creative meditation. There is a unique potency in this triple relationship. According to all the World Scriptures, God works as a Trinity, and you can do the same in your own sphere, finding two other people of like mind to form a triangle of light and spiritual interplay. Each of the two can also, in their turn, do the same and thus a great network of light and spiritual power can spread over the world. Through it the Forces of Light will be able to work and you, in your own place, will have aided and helped.

How to do the Work

The Triangles work is simple. The work takes only a few minutes to perform and can be fitted into the most crowded program. Each day members sit quietly for a few moments, in whatever part of the world they each may be, and link mentally with the other members of their triangle, or triangles. They invoke the energies of light and goodwill, visualize these energies as circulating through the three focal points and pouring outward through the network of triangles that envelops the world. At the same time they undertake to repeat the Great Invocation, thus helping to form a channel for the down pouring of light and love into the body of humanity. It is not necessary to synchronize the time at which the work is done, for once triangles are built in mental substance, they can be ‘brought alive’ when any one member does the work.

Science of the Mind

The wise and skillful use of thought energy in service is not for most people an automatic process. It calls for effort and discipline and for an understanding of the principles on which the creative use of the mind can be based. The following statements indicate some of the fundamentals of this science of the mind.

1). Thought is creative as it builds by the formulation, development and clarification of ideas. It is communicative as the mind projects the ‘thoughtform’ to its destination.

2). Creative thought building requires a calm and stable emotional consciousness, a mind that can maintain focus and concentration on an idea or theme without interruption or distraction and physical conditions that permit both to be achieved.

3). Purity of motive is needed for this work. This is not a counsel of perfection; but the purpose for doing the work must be one of impersonal, selfless service for the benefit and upliftment of the whole human family.

4). The mind must be united with the heart in creative spiritual service. The Christ said ‘As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he,’ and if the thinker works without a heart open to the flow of love, the thought will lack the magnetism needed for it to achieve its objectives.

5). There are many ways of thinking a subject through in order to clarify and develop it. But effort should be made to penetrate behind outer appearances to search for meaning, for significances, for relationships with other ideas or streams of thought, to look for causes and not at effects. The attempt to do this lead the thinker to reflect on that which is not of the nature of the form, and this can lead to contemplation, which is the source of inspiration and illumination.

6). The thinker should at some stage lift the consciousness to the soul — the Christ consciousness within us — and, reflecting in the light of the soul, link in thought with the spiritual Hierarchy, the Custodians of the Plan. In this way we will help to build the link between the mind of God and the minds of men and women, and through this channel, the Plan can be helped to precipitate into human consciousness. We can also invoke the flow of light and love and the will-to-good through this channel into the minds and hearts of all.

7). The thinker should realize that one is in fact part of a subjectively unified group of thinkers in any creative service work undertaken with the energy of thought. A thinker will contribute to and draw from a group ‘pool of thought.’ By linking in consciousness with this group while working with thought energy, one adds to the value of one’s own and others’ contributions.

8). Thoughtforms should be built with as much care and accuracy as we use to build a house. Just as an architect must take into account design, materials, location, wiring, lighting, heating, plumbing and gear them all to a house that is beautiful, practical, economic and good to live in, so must the creative worker in thought bear in mind the corresponding factors for mental creation. Just as there are millions of poorly designed and built houses in the world, so there are millions of ill thought out and relatively useless thoughtforms. In this process of thoughtform building, the main mental technique is visualization.

Spiritual energy must make its impact upon human minds; these minds are the only available instrument — in their combined effect — through which the will of God can be expressed. The place of humanity in the cosmic Plan becomes more vital and apparent when it is realized that one of our main responsibilities is the direction of energy currents from the mental plane, and the creation of that which is desired according to God’s purpose for his creation. Men and women, as a whole, are undergoing evolutionary development in order that they may be become conscientious creators in matter. This involves a realization of the archetypal Plan, a conscious process of willing creation, so that we co-operate with the ideal, work under law and produce that which is in line with the Plan.

The Unicorn Disk Exercises

The Unicorn Disk Exercises

In order to fully activate the 3rd eye disk and take advantage of its deepest powers, begin each session with the following exercises. At first the exercises may be hard to do, because they are diagnostic: the one you have difficulty will show in what way your psychic centers are imbalanced. Doing the difficult exercises helps correct the imbalance. The more your work with the disk, the easier all the exercises become, as your 3rd and 4th eyes are energized, re-aligned, tuned and focused.

The First Exercise – This is used to open, center, focus, balance, tune, and strengthen the 3rd and 4th eyes. It then aligns both eyes with your throat chakra (astral hearing) and crown chakra (spiritual connection).

Second Exercise – This will expand and equalize the energy flow between the right and left hemisphere of the brain, and increases the energy current connecting the 3rd and 4th chakras.

Third Exercise – This is for projecting the 3rd and 4th energies, focusing them. Excellent for establishing and strengthening telepathic links with masters, guides and friends.
